Contractor - Creating a Subcontract Proposal (7:01 min)

AFTER the Owner has taken funds from the Project's Build Wallet and put it into the SOV Line Item, only then is the Line Item actionable and the status bubble

changes from Screen_Shot_2022-05-16_at_9.23.44_PM.png to Screen_Shot_2022-05-16_at_9.24.48_PM.png.  This is the ONLY WAY for a Contractor to engage a Subcontractor or Material Provider to provide goods or services for the project.  The Owner must escrow the funds for the SOV Line Item BEFORE the Contractor can do anything.

Once the Screen_Shot_2022-05-16_at_9.24.48_PM.png status bubble is updated, the Screen_Shot_2022-05-16_at_9.26.35_PM.pngbutton will become active and allow you to proceed with engaging a Subcontractor.

You will have 2 Options when you click the Screen_Shot_2022-05-16_at_9.26.35_PM.pngbutton.

1) Creating a Proposal = You (the Contractor) Know the details of what you want to issue to the Subcontractor.  (i.e. Quantity, Units, Per Unit Cost, Days, etc.)

2) Request a Bid = You can describe the work to be done, and add photos/plans, but do not know the values or prices that go along with the scope being requested.

For this Article we will explore the 1st option - Create a Proposal
