receive a subcontract invitation
when your Contractor is ready for your work, they'll send you a funded subcontract invitation. this is your formal offer — it outlines the scope of work, the total value, and the preset invoices tied to each payment milestone. review everything carefully before you respond.
how to receive and review:
1. you'll receive an invite email or an in-app notification that a subcontract is waiting for you.
2. open the subcontract. review the scope of work, the total budget, and each preset invoice amount and milestone.
3. when you're ready, choose your response — accept, counter, or reject.
responding to a subcontract
you have three options when responding to a subcontract. think of it like a traffic light:
🟢 accept — the scope, pricing, and invoices work for you. tap accept as-is and the subcontract is locked in. your preset invoices are ready to submit when work is complete.
🟡 counter — something needs to change. maybe the price needs adjusting, the sequencing doesn't work, or the total value needs to shift. submit a counter-proposal with your revised terms. your Contractor reviews and responds.
🔴 reject — the subcontract doesn't work for you. reject it and it returns to your Contractor as declined. no hard feelings
💡 a counter-proposal opens a negotiation — your Contractor can accept your terms, counter back, or withdraw. everything is documented so there's a clear record of what was agreed.
